"La dentelle de la reine Anne - le curcuma (with fringes)”
Dear Wild Slings’ Friends,
Another week brings to you yet another piece in my very special no-cotton collection. This time, the wrap you see is inspired by turmeric, a spice popular in many countries, known for its vibrant colouring. The base of this piece is a lovely shade of mustard yellow, and if you look close enough, you’ll see it’s interwoven with fine nubs in red and light blue. The entire length of the wrap is patterned with Queen Anne’s lace - a common, yet charming wildflower, and bees; and the design is kept in a rich, emerald green. It’s a subtle, but stunning wrap, beautiful in its simplicity.
This wrap is made out of a mix of fabrics you know well by now. The familiar mix of eucalyptus and tussah silk is both beautiful to look at and practical. This wrap is environmentally friendly, highly absorbent and load-bearing. It’s perfect for all seasons, even the hot days of summer. It works perfectly, tightens well and looks phenomenal all the time.
