Among the many metaphors of life, those related to its elusiveness and transience are the closest to me. But there are symbols that keep pinning me on the life cycle and omnipotence of Mother Nature. Then they soothe me and allow me to feel an important element of a larger whole. Then I feel that I am in the right place at the right time. In my latest project, I decided to combine these two dependencies. The lightness and changeability of life are symbolized by dandelions which, at the end of their journey, become part of the constellation of stars. Isn't it a beautiful vision that combines what is known and loved with the elusive cosmos? The constellations on this wrap symbolize the zodiac signs that outline our life paths. The depth of color refers to distant and mysterious galaxies, at the same time creating a beautiful and mesmerizing composition.
I weave wraps from the no cotton collection from amazing composition of 5 luxury yarns with extremely noble properties and each wrap is finished with wonderfully soft, handwoven fringes. I decided to use one of the most beautiful types of silks: bourette silk and tsumugi because I just love this softess and spectacular bumps. The process of its acquisition is very time-consuming, it’s made from combed silkworms cocoons. The fibers are spun by hand according to traditional Japanese methods. Tsumugi silk is used to make kimonos. It doesn’t shine, is fluffy and similar to soft wool.
I mixed it with bourette silk, noble linen, cashemere and bamboo which makes this unique wrap the best choice for babywearing, regardless of age - it is a wrap perfect for both babies and toddlers.
I weave Wild Slings wraps on my own loom which guarantees them the highest quality and attention to every detail. Every wrap is also steam cleaned before being sent.
