The Onbuhimo, originating from Japan, is a baby carrier without a hip belt. So, pregnant women can carry their siblings without any pressure on their growing belly. The easy handling of the carrier makes the Onbuhimo very popular for parents of little globetrotters which need a brake during their expeditions. So, they can carry their little sweetheart relaxingly on their back.
The carrier is made for children who can sit unassisted and have a body size of 80 cm minimum. Strap and back part are adjustable to the body proportions of your child to guarantee the ergonomical spread-squat-position. The strap is adjustable between 15 cm and 50 cm, the back part between 30 cm and 45 cm. The Wrap Conversion is usable between 10 kg and 30 kg maximum body weight. The recommended ergonomical spread-squat-position (strap from hollow of the knee to hollow of the knee) is guaranteed up to a body size of 98 cm. From the age of 12 - 18 months the adjustment of the strap is not needed any longer, because the maturation of the hip has finished. Afterwards the Onbuhimo can be used (without regulation of the bridge) up to a maximum body weight of 30 kg.
The carrier can be used from baby wearing persons with a body size between XS and XXL. The shoulder belts can be adjusted between 32 cm and 98 cm to spread out the weight of the child perfectly over both shoulders of the carrying person. The wide shoulder straps are padded to offer more comfort.
The wrap fabric of the baby carrier is made of 100% organic cotton. It is woven in Jacquard weaving style -classic- on a surface weight of 205 g/m².
This baby carrier fulfills the US American safety standard ASTM F2236-16a.
